Sorry to say goodbye

The last day of term is always sad as we have to say goodbye to some of our children and their families.  We wish you lots of luck at your new schools.  Come and visit us and show us your new uniforms.  Maybe you will surprise us and come to our Christmas Fair or just pop in after Nursery one day ?

Thank you so much to everyone who returned our exit surveys.  You wrote lots of lovely things and gave us things to think about too. Cool

A small sample includes :

"We have loved her coming here, it's such a lovely environment and has really instilled a passion for learning which we love and know will stay with her"

"She has developed and made progress socially, emotionally and verbally !"

"You are all a credit to your profession and have helped guide such young minds onto bigger adventures"

"I love how you let the children learn, explore and gain independence at their own pace"

"You make the whole family feel part of the Nursery"

Thank you for your suggestions too, they always make us think and reflect on what we do.

You asked about offering an evening parents meeting  which we have thought about and now plan to offer as an option in the summer term next year.

Every year we try to develop and improve but sometiimes families may prefer what we did before.  Before our new website which has a folder for each child on we sent home an individual DVD for families.  One of our families was sad that we had stopped this.  We are sorry that you were expecting a DVD but hope your child's folder which will be there for ever will give you lots of pleasure too... and will not get scratched either !

One of our families was disappointed that we decided not to have a sports day this year.  After careful thought we decided not to organise one as we know they will have many sports days as they move through school.  We decided to concentrate  our energies on our special Samba Bamba day instead.

One family asked for a school dinner menu.  We do apologise for this and are changing caterer over the summer holidays so hopefully we will be able to share more detail with you about the lunches in future.

Please keep sharing with us your thoughts about what we do and we promise we will think carefully about any feedback you give us. Laughing
