We are fascinated by how children learn. One of our parents asked why their child keeps filling up bags at home.
I explained to her about schemas which are repeated patterns of behaviour such as collecting and carrying things around (transporting) , spinning things and themselves around (rotation), throwing and dropping things (trajectory) and covering and hiding things (enveloping). It can all seem a bit puzzling to adults. Why do they keep dropping it on the floor? Why do they wrap their toys up up in a blanket ?

Which schema is your child showing you they are interested in at the minute ?
